Stina Persson is an illustrator situated in Stockholm, Sweden. Much of her inspiration comes from a range of things. Fashion magazines, old movies and plastic kitchen utensils from the 60's and 70's are just a few.
The majority of Stina's work is multimedia. Some of the mediums she uses are watercolour, inks and acrylics, gouache and bits of cut paper. Fashion isn't so much as portrayed in clothing but in make up, composition, hairdos and colour. Persson's illustrations of women are done without them smiling. This is because she thinks the smile is too animated.
This particular style of her's illustrates "the finding the right balance between the edgy, the elegance, the raw and the beautiful" - Stina Persson. She doesn't take to colours too seriously and her creations are full of zest and urbanity
